An Independent Celebrant is a trained professional who is able to create and officiate a personalised, bespoke ceremony, which is as unique as YOU. This ceremony can take place at both licensed and unlicensed venues, giving you the freedom to choose a location which is perfect for you. Perhaps you know of a barn, a garden, a lovely house...
Humanists will not refer to anything of a spiritual or religious nature. If it is fitting for you and your ceremony, an Independent Celebrant can acknowledge all different faiths and backgrounds, as much or as little as you want. Perhaps you have a favourite hymn or poem, Jane Hill would be more than happy to include that, or any details which are special to you in YOUR bespoke ceremony.
Registrars have a set script of legal speak, which generally lasts for about 15 minutes. Registrars can only conduct a service in a licensed building. It's possible you won't get to meet your registrar until the day of your ceremony.
Independent Celebrants have the freedom to create a unique, personalised bespoke ceremony, which is a perfect fit for YOU. They are also able to officiate a ceremony in the venue of YOUR choice.
Fees include a brainstorming meeting, followed by a ceremony preview meeting, the officiating of your ceremony and a copy of your bespoke ceremony script to treasure after your big day.
